Published by on julio 20, 2026 Perfect chance to add this Novelty Patch to your collection at a great price. This is a patch That was distributed by the US Forest Service in the 1970s.. A quick note, many of the Smokey the Bear Style patches are a continuation issue of the original, so it is very tough to tell the exact time frame these were made. This was given out at parks and events to help promote the prevention of Forest Fires . This has Smokey on the front and says, "Smokey's Think Thanks". This has some age to it and looks to be 1970s, but again, not sure. This was stored for years in a box. This is about 2.75" inches across and 3.5" high. This one is in great shape, this is nice, near but not perfect, some very minor blems, but again, they were never perfect, but close.. These are for collectors and is a sew on/iron on type and as with Any iron on patch with age, may need to be sewn on, as the adhesive may no longer work. Nice condition and never used so take advantage of this neat find I would think these are best for Display, as they are now collectors Items. Tough to find item.
